TEMA WEST MUNICIPAL DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO THE NEEDY.

The Municipal Chief Executive for the Tema West Municipal Assembly, Hon Anna Adukwei Addo on Tuesday 14th June 2022, donated food items to Disability and Orphan under Department of Social Welfare to help reduce the hardship among the individua

The food item includes 250 bags of rice ,100 boxes of tin tomatoes, 100 boxes of oil and 100 boxes tin fish and an envelope were presented.

In a short ceremony at the forecourt of the Assembly premises, the Municipal Chief Executive said, the gesture is aimed at supporting our brothers and sisters who are disable challenge especially the orphan in these difficult times of the second wave of covid-19 pandemic.

She said Ghana is now experiencing the second wave of the covid-19 and the newly identified Monkey pox which is now in Ghana.

Hon Anna Adukwei Addo therefore advised them to adhere to the precautionary measures outlined by the Ghana health service that is regular washing of hands with soap under running water, avoid touching of nose, eye and mouth, using alcohol-based hand sanitizer, ensure social distancing among others. On his part, Mr. Rafeal Kofi, one of the beneficiaries, expressed his appreciation to the Municipal Chief Executive and his entourage for remembering them and thanked them for their gesture. The Municipal Chief Executive was accompanied by the New Patriotic Party, Hon. Kwesi Poku and some staff of the Assembly.
