TEMA WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HOLDS FAREWELL MEETING FOR 2025 NSS PERSONNEL

On the 26th of August, 2025, the Tema West Municipal Assembly held a farewell session for the NSS personnel. The meeting was graced by the presence of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Ludwig Teye Totimeh, the Head of the Human Resource, the Head of the Transport Unit, the Director of Social Welfare and Community Development and the Head of the Works department.


After an opening prayer, the executives of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) for the Tema West Municipality were introduced to the personnel. The Head of the Works department was the first guest of honour to give his speech. He advised the personnel to consistent, truthful and hardworking and above all else prayerful. He also advised the personnel to be unique and stand out in whatever special skill they are good at and to continue improving on that skill.

The next guest of honour who gave her speech to the personnel was, the Director of Social Welfare and Community Development. She led the personnel in the singing of a patriotic song. She quoted the sayings, ‘Success with no hard work can only be found in the dictionary’ and ‘Rome was not built in a day’. She also empowered the personnel to be innovative and to serve their country earnestly by finding ways to offer aid in their communities.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Ludwig Teye Totimeh, was the final guest of honour to give his speech. He also quoted a saying from a poet who goes by the name of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow which goes, ‘Great heights are not attained by sudden flight’. He encouraged the personnel to be determined in whatever they do, to be problem solvers and in relation to what the Head of the Works department said, to be unique due to the competition they may face in the future and to be prayerful above all else.
