TEMA WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HOSTS SMART WORKPLACE TRAINING PROGRAM
The Tema West Municipal Assembly organized a Smart Workplace Training Program which aimed at equipping its staff with modern digital skills to improve efficiency and service delivery. The program, which was held at the Assembly premises on the 1st of September, 2025, brought together departmental heads, administrative staff, and other officials, who were introduced to digital tools and innovative approaches designed to streamline workplace operations.
Speaking at the opening session, the Municipal Chief Director (MCD), Hon. Emmanuel Kungi, emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to embracing technology for effective governance. He noted that the adoption of smart workplace practices would not only enhance productivity but also ensure transparency and accountability in service delivery to residents.

Facilitators of the training took participants through modules on document digitization, data management, virtual collaboration and meetings and cybersecurity awareness. The sessions also provided practical demonstrations on how staff could utilize these tools to simplify work processes, reduce paperwork, and improve internal communication.

Participants expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as timely and effective in an era where digital transformation has become crucial to public sector operations. The assembly is ensuring that all staff are adequately trained to adapt to emerging technologies and to meet the growing demands of the municipality.
