LUDWID TEYE TOTIMEH TOURED EXAMINATION CENTRES.

The Tema West Municipal Executive, Hon. Ludwig Teye Totimeh on Wednesday 11 June, 2025, toured some part of the examination centres in the Municipality to encourage the candidates to put up their best.


Mr. Ludwig reminded the candidates that it was time to demonstrate their knowledge in all the subjects they were taught adding that "with God by your side, you will come out with flying colours.

He urged them to adhere to the rules and regulations governing the exam and eschew all forms of malpractices.

The MCE was accompanied by Hon. James Enu, Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency, Mr. McCarthy-Mensah, the education Director, visited the Tema secondary school and Trinity Lutheran school centres to give of their best in the exams.


Mr. James Enu, the Member of Parliament wished the candidates well and expressed the hope that this year’s exams would bring improved results nationwide.

He also reminded parents and guardians to ensure that the candidates eat before sitting for the examination to prevent any discomfort and medical issues, adding that most time people forget that exams need a lot of brain energy which could only be derived from proper freedom.

Speaking during the touring of the centres, Mr Isaac McCarthy- Mensah the education Director, noted that 4233 registered candidates from 133 Basic school in Tema West are sitting for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which commenced on Wednesday, June 11 2025.

The number comprised 2044 boys and 2189 girls, three of whom are pregnant and one is lactating.


Mr. Isaac McCarthy-Mensah hinted that they had taken the candidates through the rules of the examination and prepared them.

He said the invigilator and supervisor were also selected through interview sessions, after which they organised workshops for them to get them ready for the job.

He said 10 candidates with special needs were also sitting for the examination adding that, such children, including are with an autism spectrum would be given the needed time to write the exams.

He reiterated the need for the pupils to go by the rules given to them have confidence in their ability and have the interest to pass as the first step into their dream career.

The exam, which was commenced with social studies 2, is being written in 13 centres with supervision from 13 supervisor. 15 assistant supervisors, and 148 invigilators.
