YOUTH AGAINST DRUG ABUSE: TEMA WEST NCCE HOSTS INSPIRING PROJECT CITIZEN SHOWCASE

The event, which took place on the 23rd of May, 2025, at Tema Community 2 was held to raise awareness and promote civic responsibility among the youth, brought together key community leaders and organizations including the Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency , Hon. James Enu (ESQ), Superintendent Nyuar and ASP Yeboah from the Divisional Police Command, officials from the Ghana Health Service, the Greater Accra Regional Director of NCCE, Mr. Mawuli Agbenu who chaired the occasion and NCCE union chairperson, Madam Rebecca Colecraft.


The occasion sponsored by the MP and Cargill featured a compelling stage plays and presentations by Tema Senior High and Lashibi Community Senior High Schools, the event highlighted the causes and consequences of substance misuse, with Lashibi emerging as the winner.



The speakers, emphasized on civic responsibility and the urgent need for youth advocacy against drug abuse. The event served as both a competition and a powerful platform for inspiring youth-led change toward a drug-free society.
