TEMA WEST CHIEF EXECUTIVE JOINS MUSLIMS TO PRAY TO END RAMADAN..

Hon. Anna Naa Adukwei Addo, the Municipal Chief Executive of the Tema West Municipal Assembly last Saturday ,21st April 2023 joined Muslims to end their 30-day Ramadan fasting.

The prayers were used to commemorate the annual Eid-ul-Fitr celebration and also to ask Allah’s blessings upon the citizens and leadership within the Municipality.

Hon. MCE later called for peace and unity among the people to foster rapid socio-economic growth and development.

She said for some years now the peace and unity experienced in the Municipality had ensured some amount of progress, especially in the education sector, with massive improvement in the Islamic schools.

Hon. Anna Naa Adukwei Addo, also called on the people to continue with the sacrifice they had made throughout the period of Ramadan in whatever they did after the fast.

“I am therefore encouraging Muslim community to continue to uphold their holiness and integrity despite the end of the 30-day fasting” she stated.

On his part, the Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah, said that he was working in collaboration with the Tema West Municipal Assembly (T.W.M.A) to convert part of the Mexico school in Tema Community Two into an Islamic School.

The Mexico school building, which has structural cracks, used to house student who were evacuated to a newly built school building few yards away leaving the space empty.

The Hon. MP, said he had been in talks with the Assembly about renovating and converting the abandoned Mexico School building into an Islamic School.

He stated that, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had Muslims at heart and hence urged them to maintain them in office to continue to do good to them.

He reminded them that, they were the first political party to establish a Zongo Ministry as well as to fund and assist bright but needy Zongo children.

Hon. Carlos Ahenkrah, later assured Muslims within Lashibi to provide them with canopies at their next Eid prayers.

Leading the Muslim faithful to offer special prayers to Allah the chief Imam at Lashibi Central Mosque, Imam Mutawaku Iddrisu prayed for the President and the government especially the Hon. Member of Parliament and the MCE for Allah to enable them to continue to contribute meaningfully to the development of the Municipality.

He also prayed for peace and unity to ensure rapid development.
