THE TEMA WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HELD THE 1ST ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING OF THE 4TH SESSION OF THE 2ND ASSEMBLY.

The Tema West Municipal Assembly on Thursday, 27th April, 2023 held the 1st Ordinary General Meeting of the 4th session of the 2nd Assembly at the Assembly’s Conference Hall to outline the activities and plans for the Municipality.


Presenting the session address to the house, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Anna Adukwei Addo stated that, the Tema West Municipal Assembly had made significant progress in different aspects of local economy and was eager to do more to improve the lives of people within the Municipality.
She said in terms of roads, the Assembly has been able to asphalt 29.55 Kilometers of roads within the Municipality.
Hon. M.C.E noted that, the 29.55 Kilometers of asphalted roads, were part of 50.01-kilometer package of roads to be asphalted within the Municipality and that Municipality would soon lead the Tema enclave in terms of good asphalted overlays.

According to her, the essential areas that required enormous commitment and investment was road development and maintenance, hence the Assembly’s policy was to ensure residents and motorists enjoyed good roads within the various communities.
She hinted that, the Municipality gains in agriculture and food security, environmental health and sanitation work, development control, social welfare, education, sports and health among other critical sectors had been shifted.
Hon. M.C.E later urged citizens and stakeholder including Assembly members to continue to assist the Municipal Assembly in carrying out it mandated duties to citizens.
She also pledged to run an open door and all-inclusive administration to enhance knowledge sharing in the build up to an improved Municipality.
