DEPUTY EDUCATION MINISTER, TEMA WEST MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE DONATES LEARNING MATERIALS TO SUPPORT “MY FISRT DAY AT SCHOOL”.

HON. REV. NTIM FORDJOUR WITH THE MCE AND REGIONAL EDUCATION DIRECTOR AT ONE OF SCHOOLS

The deputy minister for Education Hon. Rev. Ntim Fordjour in collaboration with the Municipal Chief Executive for the Tema West Municipal Assembly Hon. Anna Naa Adukwei Addo on the 18th January, 2022 has presented some learning material to kindergarten pupils to support “My First Day at School” within the Municipality.

SOME OF THE ITEMS PRESENTED TO THE PUPILS

The items presented which include, Sanitizers, Books, packs of pencil, sharpeners, colors pencil, fruit drinks and other learning materials were presented to them by the education minister and his entourage toured some schools which included complex schools at Sakumono Estate, Corpus Christ, Salamon Estate and Sakumono TWMA Basic school within the Municipality.

Speaking to the children, the Deputy Minister of Education Hon. Rev. Ntim Fordjour hinted that, the purpose of the presentation was to welcome them to school and also encourage them to learn hard.

Hon. Rev. Ntim Fordjour reviews that, at first parent in Ghana could not send their wards to school because of the lack of finances but now under this current President Akuffo Addo led government, parent can not deny their ward education since education from the kindergarten level to senior high level is free. He later called on all parent to send their children to school.

HON. ANNA NAA ADUKWEI ADDO INTERATING WITH THE CHILDREN

On her part, Hon Anna Naa Adukwei welcomed the children to school and encouraged them to take their studies seriously in order to realize their future aspirations. She advised the pupils to be punctual at school and to take their lessons very serious for them to become good assets for their families and nation

Hon. MCE later urged teachers to imbue in the children the fear of God so that they would grow to become obedient, respectful and knowledgeable in all aspect of their education.

HON. MCE PRESENTING THE ITEMS TO THE CHILDREN

Madam Monica Ankrah, the Greater Accra Director for Education, asked the teachers to show good morals fir the pupils to emulate as they teach, since children could easily copy what they +see. She commended the Assembly for its effort in providing the school additional school buildings to help the education within the municipality.
