District Level Elections in Tema West Municipality: New Assembly Members Elected.

In the recent District Level Elections (DLE) held on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, across Ghana, including the Tema West Municipality, eleven electoral areas witnessed the election of new Assembly Members. These elected representatives play a crucial role in steering the development agenda within their respective districts.

Despite the significance of the elections, turnout remained low, a trend that has unfortunately become common in such events. However, the atmosphere remained relatively calm throughout the process in all eleven electoral areas within the Tema West Municipality.

Among the newly elected Honorable Assembly Members for the Tema West Municipality are:

1. Charity Dela Siame - Elected for the Adjei Kojo Electoral Area
2. Justice Yao Tetteh - Elected for the Lashibi Electoral Area
3. Dela Afetor - Elected for the Kaiser Electoral Area
4. Osanyonmor Atitiati Laweh - Elected for the Railways Electoral Area
5. Lucky Ocansey - Elected for the Sakumono (Wolei) Electoral Area
6. Gilbert Kenneth MacMawuli - Elected for the Sakumono Estate
7. Ibrahim Dauda - Elected for the Baatsona Electoral Area
8. Owusu Bempa - Elected for the Gyatabu Electoral Area
9. Mary Enu - Elected for the Kasadjan Electoral Area
10. Rexford B. K. Darko-Agyekum - Elected for the Hacro Electoral Area

These individuals have been entrusted with the responsibility of representing their communities' interests and facilitating local development initiatives. Their election marks a significant step in ensuring grassroots participation in governance and fostering community-driven progress.
