LOCAL GOVERNMENT MINISTER PAYS WORKING VISITS TO TEMA WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY.

Hon. Daniel Kwaku Botwe, Minister for Local Government Decentralization and Rural Development, on Monday 14th March, 2022 paid a working visit tour to the Tema West Municipal Assembly (TWMA) to abreast himself with the challenges and success stories in the implementation of government policies.

In an interaction with the MCE of Tema West together with some heads of department of the Assembly, the Minister urged the Assembly to adapt innovative ways to increase its revenue to ensure that development reaches the ordinary citizen.

He said, the departmental heads should upscale effort towards accumulating more revenue, not only to meet the recurrent expenditure but equally important, to be able to finance community development projects.

According to him, the visit was part of a working tour to the district Assemblies within the Greater Accra Region to reinvigorate the essence of the local governance and encouraged staff to work towards strengthening the democratic pillars.

He stated that, government commitment was to better the lives of all Ghanaians and therefore urged all sundry to aid the realization of the president dream.

The MCE for Tema West Municipal Assembly Hon. Anna Naa Adukwei Addo expressed appreciation to the Minister for his visit and assured him of the Assembly continues commitment in fulfilling the president vision.
