On 13th August 2024, the Tema West Municipal Assembly (TWMA) led by, Hon. Felicia Edem Attipoe, spearheaded a community-driven initiative to raise awareness about proper sewage discharge and the inspection of aging sewage lines. The initiative, aimed at fostering community involvement, brought together key stakeholders to address longstanding sewage-related issues in the municipality.

The engagement featured presentations from the Head of Environmental and Sanitation, alongside the Head of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), who educated residents on best practices for managing sewage waste. Their joint effort underscored the importance of maintaining public health and environmental safety in the community.
