Assisting The Physically Challenged And Less Privileged

The Tema West Municipal Assembly with active support of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Honourable Felicia Edem Attipoe, funded by the 3% of the district’s common fund designated for community support, aimed at empowering community members that are physically challenged and underprivileged through resource provision and skill enhancement.

In a ceremony held at the Assembly premises, Hon. Felicia Edem Attipoe expressed her commitment to ensuring that all residents, particularly those facing physical and economic challenges, have access to resources that enhance their quality of life and enable them to participate actively in local economic activities.

The beneficiaries received a range of items designed to help them establish or expand their own businesses, promoting self-sufficiency and economic resilience. The distributed items included chest freezers, industrial sewing machines, tomato milling machines, cake mixer machines, and other equipment suitable for small-scale entrepreneurial ventures. Each item was carefully selected to align with the recipient's skills and business goals, ensuring that the support directly contributes to their livelihoods.

Hon. Attipoe emphasized that this initiative reflects the Assembly’s dedication to fostering a community where every individual, regardless of physical or economic limitations, can achieve their aspirations. She expressed her hope that the resources provided would inspire the beneficiaries to pursue their goals with renewed determination and assured them of the Assembly’s ongoing support.
