Tema West Municipal Assembly Donates 20 Rams for Eid-ul-Adha Celebrations.
In a generous gesture ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha festival, the Tema West Municipal Assembly, under the leadership of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. Felicia Edem Attipoe, donated 20 sheep (rams) to various electoral areas within the municipality. The donation aims to ensure that more members of the community can participate in the sacred festival, regardless of their financial means

Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a significant Islamic celebration that honors the Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command. A representative of the local Imam explained that the festival encourages Muslims to share with their neighbors, families, and friends, reinforcing the values of generosity and community spirit.
The MCE's donation was warmly received, with the representative of the Imam expressing deep gratitude on behalf of the Muslim community. He acknowledged the Assembly's efforts in fostering inclusivity, noting that this kind act would allow even those who might struggle to afford a sacrificial animal to fully participate in the Eid festivities.

This initiative by the Tema West Municipal Assembly underscores its commitment to supporting the diverse cultural and religious practices within the municipality. By ensuring broader participation in the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations, the Assembly has once again demonstrated its dedication to enhancing community solidarity and well-being.
