TEMA WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY, HELD ITS 4TH QUARTER STAFF DURBAR .
The Tema West Municipal Assembly, held its 4th Quarter Staff Durbar on 23rd December, 2022. The Durbar commenced at 12:00pm at the forecourt of its premises. The event aimed to bring staff together, promote effective communication, and foster a sense of unity and collaboration within the assembly
The agenda for the Durbar encompassed several important components, including;
1.Welcome and opening remarks: The event began with a welcome and opening remarks from Hon. Anna Adukwei Addo, the Municipal Chief Executive of the Tema West Municipal Assembly. She emphasized on the importance of the staff durbar, which will promote teamwork, sharing knowledge, and addressing staff concerns. The MCE highlighted the significance of effective teamwork and its impact on achieving the Assembly’s goals.
She spoke of the improvement of the Municipal Assembly with regards to the achievements and awards received during the year which included the following;
The MCE also informed the staff about the successful inauguration of the substructures and the posting of Officers to various Zonal Councils.
2. Key notes address by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Ali Mohammed Amadu.
The MCD updated members on the progress of the Assembly. He informed staff members on the achievements, challenges, and plans for the year 2023. He admonished staff to take their performance management tool (Appraisals) very serious and also urged them to always go through their appraisal before submitting. He took members through the local government protocols and encourage all staff to apply it in the discharge of their duties:
3. Open Forum
Staff members were given the opportunity to voice their concerns, suggestions, and grievances. This session allowed management to address staff issues, ensuring that staff members felt heard and valued.
4. Closing remarks:
The MCE, in her closing remarks, advised staff to continue to follow the fundamental principles of good governance and ethics as the LGS has laid down for all staff. Mr. Nkrumah Krampah Richard and Abukari Abdul-Rahman gave the vote of thanks and closing prayer respectfully.
