TEMA WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HOSTS JOYFUL CAROLS SERVICE TO USHER IN THE FESTIVE SEASON

On the 24th of December, 2024, the Tema West Municipal Assembly held a spirited carols service to mark the festive season and bring the community together in celebration. The event, which took place at the Assembly premises, was graced by the presence of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Felicia Edem Attipoe, whose inspiring address underscored the importance of unity and reflection during Christmas.


The carols service attracted staff of the Assembly and community leaders, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and joy. The program was a mix of spiritual and cultural expressions, aimed at reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas.


The day’s festivities featured a wide range of dance performances, with staff members proudly representing different Ghanaian cultural groups. The event also included popular traditional games, similar as kpetenge, ludo, oware, tumpantu, and checkers, giving actors an occasion to contend and connect through friendly contest. In a memorable moment, Hon. Atippoe joined a match of oware, important to the delight of onlookers.

The highlight of the day was the breathtaking performance by Aspire Chorale Ghana, whose choral renditions left the audience inspired. Their harmonious melodies included timeless Christmas classics and local carols, infusing the event with a rich blend of tradition and modernity. In addition to the musical presentations, scripture readings by members of the community took centre stage, reminding attendees of the biblical significance of Christmas. Heartfelt prayers were also offered, calling for peace, prosperity, and good health for all in the coming year.

Hon. Felicia Edem Attipoe, in her remarks, expressed gratitude to all who attended and commended the organizers for their efforts in putting together such an unforgettable event. She emphasized the need for love, compassion, and giving during the festive period, urging everyone to extend a helping hand to the less fortunate in society.
